Position Title: Night Utility Operator

Job Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Amount of Travel: Minimal

Schedule: TBD


 

Job Summary:

Primary responsibilities are to aid in production and maintenance at the mill, receive ingredients, and mill operations in a safe and professional demeanor.

 

What will you do?  

  • Preventative maintenance and housekeeping on equipment as assigned.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance.     
  • Communicate and work with others to accomplish task assigned.
  • Assist in bag feed production as assigned.
  • Proper recordkeeping of drug book and gathering a variety of hand added ingredients.
  • Sample all ingredient trucks and properly complete necessary documentation in regard to quality inspections.
  • Report any incident where quality may be in question.
  • Report all ingredient receipts to control room.
  • Follow processes and procedures to ensure compliance with DFS and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, ISO, HACCP, GMP, FSMA, etc)..
  • Follow GMP regulations current and any future requirements.
  • Responsible for mill equipment and report damage or malfunctions.
  • Be able to gather hand adds and drugs.
  • Grinding and Batching
  • Perform loadout functions such as: manually loading trucks, alarms, and queuing up loads.
  • Housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Be able to work weekends as needed.
  • Assist in the grain department as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

 

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Maintenance background preferred

Computer Skills: Knowledge of basic computer functions
Able to read, write, and speak English
Be familiar with agricultural production
Pass post offer drug test
Work in adverse weather conditions
Follow all safety rules and regulations
